The Integrative Approach

Since the 1980s there has been a growing trend in psychotherapy towards integration of the various conceptual models. This has involved an eclectic process of selecting concepts and methods from a variety of systems. One of the reasons for this is the recognition that no single theory is comprehensive enough to account for the complexities of human behaviour.

Most therapy models take their theoretical approaches from one of the three main counselling and therapy 'schools' At New-Perspectives we value the influence of all of them.
